Trauma Clinic

The Center for Trauma Recovery Clinic is a multiservice trauma center dedicated to providing specialized services to trauma survivors and conducting professional education and training programs for mental health professionals.

The Center for Trauma Recovery Clinic is under the directorship of Steven Bruce, Ph.D., licensed clinical psychologist at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. The clinicians at CTR use a cognitive-behavioral approach for the treatment of trauma. The focus is on highly effective, short-term therapy for the treatment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

The Clinic is staffed by clinicians with extensive experience and training in the area of trauma and PTSD. Our staff includes licensed clinical psychologists, as well as doctoral and master's level clinicians.

Specialized Trauma Services Include:

We provide therapy for any type of traumatic event including:

  • Sexual assault
  • Intimate partner violence
  • Accidents
  • Disasters
  • Physical assault or other crimes
  • Robberies
  • Violence based on sexual orientation or race
  • Surviving the homicide of a loved one

The Center for Trauma Recovery is located on the campus of the University of Missouri-St. Louis on Natural Bridge Road.
